Happiness flows to you when you stop searching for it.
There was a time I used to think that happiness needs to be found and it is nowhere around us.
But the thing is when we run after something, it goes further away from us.
It is the same in case of happiness.
Happiness is all around us. Small things matter by the time we grow up.
We find it in the souls of human beings, beyond the outer shell of beauty.
We find it in the eyes of everyone.
Happiness is an emotion that flows freely when you attach nothing to it.
This concept is beautifully explained by Rumi,
“When I run after what I think I want, my days are a furnace of distress and anxiety; if I sit in my own place of patience, what I need flows to me, and without any pain. From this I understand that what I want also wants me, is looking for me and attracting me. There is a great secret in this for anyone who can grasp it.”
~Rumi
People who suffer from something big in their lives, know the deeper meaning of happiness.
Hope and the ability to look past injuries, brings a great deal of happiness.
“The wound is a place where light enters you.”
~Rumi
